General Information

6 June 2006

Dear friends

I am sorry to report that because of financial restraints Brazil was forced to withdraw their entries and will not be able to join us. They entered a big team, delegation of 84, included were 4 Brevet judges.

Countries who have submitted the nominative entries and paid entry fees and accommodation costs are:
Australia, Canada, Japan, Namibia, New Zealand and South Africa.

1. JUDGING REQUIREMENTS

We need to run 2 events simultaneously - this could be a bit of a problem.
Heading the judges we have Mr John Beeton, Scotland, FIG.
From Canada the very experienced Traci House, very good in all 3 disciplines plus Brevet judges
Karen Booth (double-mini and tumbling) and June Booth (tumbling).

From Japan:

Brevet Judges:
Hirofumi Morita (Trampoline and double-mini)
Yuriko Iwashita (Trampoline)
Emiko Nakashima (Trampoline)
and luckily also Yukie Furu (National Category 1)

From Namibia:

Brevet Judge:
Vesselin Kosten (Trampoline and double-mini)

From New Zealand:

Brevet Judge:
Janine Glover (Trampoline and double-mini)
And National judges Ken Olley (HOD and Team manager)
and Vicky Williams (Team coach) who kindly agreed to judge.

From Australia:

Brevet judge:
confirmed, waiting for the name - hopefully amongst the officials there will be 1,2, 3 or more Brevet-/ National judges - willing to judge. I saw the name of Melany Tonks (very good judge) as a coach - maybe Melany will see her way open to judge.

From South Africa:

Brevet judges:
Nikki van der Walt (Trampoline and double-mini)
Helen van der Walt (Trampoline and double-mini)
Frik Coetzee (Category 4 double-mini)

Brevet Judges in Tumbling:
very good judges, we could provide 2 full panels! - waiting to see how many are needed.

In view of the above if any country could provide more judges it would be sincerely appreciated.

At the judges’ meeting on 11 July 2006 , the names of the highest qualified judge of each country will be entered in a draw and three names will be drawn to select the members of the Jury of Appeal.

2. THERAPEUTIC USE EXEMPTION (WADA)

Any competitor who recently used or is using medicine that might fall under the Prohibited list, should have applied and obtained a therapeutic use exemption (TUE) in advance from his/her country’s IF or NADO. It is extremely likely that drug testing will take place at the event.

Any official or competitor who has a restricted diet must kindly inform Riana as soon as possible of his/her dietary needs. Kindly submit details regarding the problem as well as a list of prohibited foods and a list of foods that could be served.
