Visit the Voortrekker Monument which commemorates the Groot Trek.  Visit Church Square, around which Pretoria had grown, dominated by the Statue of Paul Kruger.  The next stop is the magnificent Union Buildings, overlooking lovely terraced gardens.  Drive through different suburbs and past the two universities.

Enjoy a 6-hour tour of Gold Reef City, a reconstruction of Johannesburg during the gold rush era, built around a gold mine.  Diversions include a Victorian fun fair, miners' houses, a brewery, pubs, a hotel, casino, restaurants and a stock exchange.  You can watch a gold pour and take a trip down an old mine shaft.  Tribal dancing adds to the fun. CLOSE ON MONDAYS.
